Went down with sgForums people after SITEX at Expo. We were supposed to have dinner at IKEA Tampines but decided to stay away from the crowds.

As for the food, I think it's pretty alright for a reasonably-priced ribeye steak. =)

For the day of launch, none of the outdoor areas stipulated by iDA are covered. Rather, the 3 providers (iCell, SingTel and Qala QMax) only integrated their hotspots together to form the 254 hotspots. The full coverage of 5,000 outdoor hotspots in the 48 primary catchment areas will only be available by September 2007.

Logging in to Wireless@SG is simple, although the speed is a bit slow for comfortable surfing. Be warned.

1. Select the network with SSID "Wireless@SG".

2. Enter any web address on your browser and you should be directed to the login page.

3. Select the provider you have signed up with, enter your username and password and you're done!

I have been wanting to check out this often-quoted haute restaurant along Middle Rd, and today is the day to get Weijie out. He is also an aspiring chef so we could draw upon the dining experiences of different places, which might be useful someday.

Roasted Lamb Rack ($16.80)

The rack comes with meat at one-end and ribs at the other, and while is great tasting, it may not fill your stomach very well on its own.

Bratwurst Sausage with Balsamic Onion and Dijon Mayo ($8.80)

A meal ideal for everyday dining, it comes with 2 sausages on top of a serving of rice, and when topped up with a drink could make for a $10 meal at this restaurant.

Saute Shittake Mushrooms ($4.80)

An impressive side dish for starters, it leaves us craving for more.

Mussels ($4.80 for 6, $8.80 for 12)

Situated at the newly renovated Market Street Food Centre, this dessert boutique serves low-fat and low-sugar dessert for the health-conscious, which is something refreshing from the usual fruit juice which office workers take for their daily vitamin supplement.

Following a tip off from Makansutra forums about the return of the Wham!burger, swatchie and i went down to Far East Square to try the burger and, indeed, the chicken patty that came with it was addictive. Swatchie had the beef patty which looked just as tempting (medium-rare), and we concluded after we finished it that we could have gone for one more burger if the queue were shorter.
