candy empire at vivocity under fire!

The Candy Empire store at Vivocity, barely a month into operations, has been hit by 2 Straits Times readers, Miss Catryna Zhang and Mdm Molly Zhao who wrote in to complain about the store's policy of prohibiting access to handicapped persons in their wheelchairs.

And to add on to the insulting episode, the indian manager pointed to the "no wheelchair" sign and "gesticulated vulgarly at the sign".

This incident was widely discussed on local forums and many have decided to boycott the store. But the store took down the sign before anyone of us could take a picture of it.

What a shame.
